Progressives

Q: Can I have my progressive lens put in new frames?

A: Hi,

Yes, it is possible, ideally in the same model frame.

If the new frame is bigger, then it is not possible, the lenses are too small, and if the new frame is smaller, they have to reshape the lens and it is possible to lose important parts of the lenses, like the close vision diopters.

I personally don't recommend this operation, originally the lenses were cut for that specific frame, changing the shape after, could result in bad vision, pupillary distance mistakes, and in the end, you return to new lenses and a new frame.

Hope this helps,
Arpi
