My anti-reflection glasses never stays clear

Q: I have a new pair of glasses. My glasses never stays clear. It is always oily or messy and the more I wipe the worse it gets. Hence I cannot see well. Is it the coating?

A: Hello Alec,

I have to say yes, it is the coating. Some antireflective coatings have this downside, they keep the dirt and are harder to clean.

This is why, some companies have made the anti-reflective coating that has hidrofob and oleofob proprieties, this means the dirt and water can be cleaned much easier.

This is a more expensive lens, but this can save your lenses. I recommend you this type of lenses.

Hope this helps,
Arpi
